I grew up working in my parents' restaurant. Besides that, making pictures is the only job I've ever had. I'm currently the staff photographer for UW Hospital & Clinics in Madison, Wis. I spent 12 years shooting for the Wisconsin State Journal, five years at the Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune and one year at the Mesabi Daily News in Virginia, Minn. (it's on the Iron Range, look it up on a map).
I'm a husband and a father and play guitar in the church where I married my lovely bride. My work is inspired by the music of The Replacements, old Van Halen, Tom Waits and every person I've ever met in my entire life.
My clients include The Overture Center, Edgewood College, the University of Wisconsin, The Greater Madison Convention and Visitors Bureau, Findorff Construction, and newspapers and magazines across the country.
